GENERALIST

THE OPPORTUNITY

One of Metro Detroit's fastest growing marketing companies is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to oversee the day to day human resources responsibilities and activities of the organization. The HR Generalist will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, writing job descriptions and crafting HR policies. The HR Generalist will use ADP's Workforce Now to ensure all employee records are up to date and confidential, and will serve as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics. 

The goal of the HR Generalist is to ensure the HR operations are running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. 

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Full cycle talent acquisition from recognition of vacancy through to onboarding and everything in between, including, writing job descriptions, managing job boards, phone screens, scheduling interviews, offer letters, reference checks, background verifications, new hire paperwork, and more.

  • Establishes and maintains company records and reports and directs others in the organization on adherence to record-keeping guidelines. 

  • Organizing and executing employee training. 

  • Effectively executing offboarding procedures, including involuntary terminations. 

  • Keeping employee handbook and all other HR policies up to date and compliant, including all governmental and labor legal requirements, including but not limited to EEO, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, CARES Act, etc. 

  • Effectively manage the annual performance review cycle, including providing templates and helping to move the organization through to completion of the review cycle. 

  • Lead HR through audits, as needed. 

  • Manage nationwide business registrations.

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal HR Generalist will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. You thrive in high energy environments and have entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic. ​

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • HR Certification is a plus!

  • Excellent leadership and communications skills.

  • Must be DATA-DRIVEN and high aptitude for measuring HR analytics.

  • Skilled in finding relevant, smart, and forward-thinking candidates. 

  • Experienced in payroll systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now is a huge plus.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to multi-task and serve a wide-range of stakeholders within the organization. 

  • Ability to work in an agile and dynamic environment.

Salary Range: $65k-$70k
