DevOps Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY

The largest independent digital engagement company and a trusted partner to both Fortune 500 brands and leading agencies is hiring DevOps professional. In this position, you will report to the VP of IT and Security while managing infrastructure projects and processes for one of the largest Apps in the world.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Development and Project teams to test system integrity

  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations

  • Design, test, and implement build, deployment, and configuration management

  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning

  • Manage, track and document code deployments in all environments

  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve

  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery

  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards

  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects

  • Manage CI and CD tools with an integrated development team

  • Design, create and maintain comprehensive documentation

  • Improve infrastructure development and application development

  • Ensure security and compliancy polices are enforced as may be defined by the InfoSec team Be part of an On-Call support rotation

WHO YOU ARE

Experience With:

  • Azure Platform (minimum two years)

  • Networking concepts such as Virtual Networks, NSG’s, Subnetting, etc.

  • Load Balancing High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies

  • App Services

  • Service Bus/Event Hub

  • Blob Storage

  • Azure Key Vault

  • GitLab (minimum two years)

  • Server-less Computing/Azure Functions

  • CI/CD (Azure DevOps and GitLab Preferred)

  • SQL Server or other advanced level databases (minimum two years)

  • SOA architectures and REST API's (minimum two years)

  • Monitoring and alerting (Application Insights, Grafana, minimum two years)

  • Business Analysis/QA

  • Test Plan Creation

  • Test Coverage Evaluation and Planning

  • MS SQL and Azure Cosmos DB

  • Infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell or Python 

  • Container orchestration services (docker, Kubernetes)

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required

  •  Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently

  •  Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

  •  Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  •  Experience working in an Agile/Rally development cycle preferred.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and customers.
