DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is the industry leader in incentivized digital engagements and the talented team behind many of the promotions, rebates, and loyalty programs that you likely participate in. They are looking for a Director of Business Development who will be performing all aspects of the sales cycle, identifying, qualifying, negotiation and driving new and existing customers to close business, including coordination of internal resources to meet customers’ needs and timelines. Prospects consist of direct brands, promotional agencies, traditional ad agencies, and digital shops.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for prospecting a range of targets to open new doors and drive pipeline and sales growth to meet monthly sales targets.

  • Ability to consult with clients on engagement marketing solutions across our 3 pillars of promotions, rebates & offers, and loyalty based on business goals and objectives.

  • Create and present proposals; manage the sales process from proposal through sale and post-analysis.

  • Maintain working knowledge of products, industry trends, competitive set, the promotion/rebate/loyalty industry and online advertising research.

You are part hunter, part consultant and part strategist. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for digital marketing and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You have been in client facing roles in the advertising and marketing industry and are willing to work toward an annual quota and appreciate being rewarded for the clients you onboard, grow and foster. 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of sales experience; digital, loyalty, promotion and/or CRM background is highly preferred

  • A hunter mentality with a passion for closing a high volume of opportunities

  • Ability to confidently understand and present complex solutions to high-level marketing executives

  • Excellent organization, initiative, follow-up, and communication skills

  • Self-confident, high energy, self-motivated, and a quick thinker

Target Salary: up to $120k plus commission plan
