THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a boutique, technology driven title agency with a goal of streamlining the closing and escrow process by providing white glove customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Escrow Officer.
Your responsibilities:

Communicate with real estate offices, attorneys, brokers, and lenders to obtain the information needed to initiate the title order.

Interface with internal and external underwriters and third-party vendors to ensure a smooth transaction while overseeing customer interactions, specifically while completing title requirements and resolving/clearing outstanding curative items.

Determine closing requirements by studying and qualifying buyer, seller, and additional property details.

Properly identify compliance issues: identify missing titles issues or errors and resolve them to ensure compliance.

Work closely with borrowers, loan officers, title companies/attorneys, or insurance companies to gather and prepare all documents needed to satisfy underwriting requirements.

Work hand-in-hand with our centralized processing department to pinpoint order requirements and/or specific file requests.

Verify accuracy of settlement statements utilizing underwriter and/or lender instructions.

Lead transaction to completion by determining policy exceptions; requirements; clearing titles or identifying methods for clearing titles; assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents for closing agent.

Schedule closings and assist closing agent with possible changes at closing and updated municipals searches on scheduled closings, prepare closer packages to include policies, invoice, title report, affidavits & survey and assist in other areas of operation, as needed.
WHO YOU ARE
Qualifications:

Industry experience with standard title/escrow concepts, practices, and procedures.

Understand title nuances such as types of real estate ownership, chain of title, recording procedures, curatives, prorations, endorsements, and types of title policies.

Curative experience is preferred, but not required.

Ability to deal directly with multiple industry professionals such as real estate sellers, buyers, agents and brokers.

Exceptional client relations and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
An eager Escrow Officer would:

Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners.

Have the ability to manage various internal departments and delegate responsibility to the appropriate team members.

Participate in the company growth development, team management and expansion, and encourage company growth

Production Software training is provided.
