One of Metro Detroit's fastest growing marketing companies is seeking a Manager of Human Resources to oversee the day to day human resources responsibilities and activities of the organization. The Manager of Human Resources will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, writing job descriptions and crafting HR policies. The Manager of HR will use ADP's Workforce Now to ensure all employee records are up to date and confidential, and will serve as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics. 

The goal of the Manager of Human Resources is to ensure the HR operations are running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. 


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute company's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

  • Provides support and guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing
    reasonable accommodations, investigating allocations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure WG attracts and retains top talent.

  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees and management.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law to establish a top-notch culture.

  • Oversees and performs the day-to-day operations for the HR department.


The ideal Manager of Human Resources will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. You thrive in high energy environments and have entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic. ​


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • A minimum of six years of human resource management experience.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and agile environment.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate/escalate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment—related laws and regulations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, Survey Monkey, HRIS systems, etc.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the ADP Total Source payroll and talent management system.


Salary Range: $80k-$90k
