SALES TEAM LEADER

Birmingham, MI / Remote

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is hiring a Sales Team Leader who will be tasked with achieving and executing divisional sales targets through direct leadership over new hires and account executives. The sales team leader is the glue that holds the sales team together, provides the training and motivation to the team to reach sales goals. The work environment is typically fast paced, and the team leader is often moving from one task to another, answering questions, holding meetings, delegating responsibilities, and acting as a voice of encouragement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sales leadership with recruiting and training new sales staff, assigning specific tasks to other sales staff, and monitoring the team's sales performance.

  • Solving customer complaints and answering customers' questions.

  • Day to day coaching and development will be the primary focus of this position, following a defined coaching program as designed by leadership (Listening Reviews, Monthly Action Plans, 1:1 Meetings, Action Plan Coaching, etc.).

  • Work with sales leadership to develop and deliver daily structured 10 min sales energizers.

  • Work with sales leadership to develop and deliver weekly one-hour sales meeting (provide status updates, best practices, call listening, etc.).

  • Work with sales leadership to consistently update and organize “sell sheets” for sales floor as well as the consistent additions of recorded calls to the sales call library.

  • Assist in the development and upkeep of sales reporting dashboards and individual sales reports.

  • Continued learning of Salesforce.com platform.

  • Supports Director of Sales when they are out of the office, if needed.

 

This position will report to the SVP of Sales and is temporarily remote due to COVID-19.

WHO YOU ARE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

  • At least 5 years sales leadership experience (required).

  • Experience with Salesforce.com (required).

  • History of success in a Sales Representative role.

  • Familiarity with the financial advisory industry is preferred.
