THE OPPORTUNITY

Seeking a skilled Controller to oversee the financial operations of our client's Cannabis division, reporting to the COO. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supports business growth by managing accounting functions and providing strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial operations: accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.

  • Ensure regulatory-compliant, accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bookkeeping.

  • Implement financial software systems for efficiency.

  • Oversee cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Collaborate with auditors and ensure documentation is audit-ready.

  • Provide financial guidance and monitor regulatory changes.

Experience Required:

  • Proven corporate Controller or similar role experience.

  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts and reconciliation.

  • Preferably experienced in public accounting; QuickBooks proficiency.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
