The Customer Service Representative will support our personal line (e.g. home, auto, life) clients and producers by providing superior customer service and maintaining excellent communication with both clients and colleagues. The Customer Service Representative is charged with ensuring each of our clients’ inquiries or complaints regarding their policies are responded to in a professional manner as if they were our only client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Confer with clients by phone or email to provide information about policies and coverages

  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as action taken to resolve any problems

  • Resolve policy or coverage issues by clarifying the client’s request, determining the cause of the request, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution

  • Resolve clients’ billing requests by processing payments and confirming successful transactions through our agency carrier portals

  • Focus on resolving customer requests in the initial call (first call resolution)

  • Recommend process improvements to management team as items are discovered responding to customer requests

  • Perform all other duties as requested or assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience in a customer service environment – this doesn’t have to be behind a desk (e.g. if you are an amazing waiter/waitress/bartender or have retail experience, you are poised to succeed at this job!)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid computer skills (comfortable using email, multiple screens, and jumping between multiple browsers/applications)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills


Desired Qualifications:

  • Two years’ college completion or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree

  • Familiarity with personal lines insurance is a plus

  • Active insurance license
