Our client creates software for local governments to manage the inner workings of their organization and the services they provide to residents. After a recent private equity acquisition, this fast growing FinTech company is hiring their first Financial Controller with experience in PE backed Saas companies. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will be critical in standing up the accounting department, including processes, systems, and data. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for learning and likes a challenge.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting functions, including AR, AP, payroll, and purchasing

• Evaluate, propose, and implement accounting processes, systems, policies, and procedures

• Responsible for financial reports

• Prepares and presents monthly close package including financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis for leadership and board

• Oversee annual financial statement audit and annual tax prep with third party firms

• Prepare reports for bankers / lenders and monitor bank requirements to remain in compliance

• Ad hoc projects and initiatives

Skills, Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent: CPA preferred

• 4-6 years of related work experience in SaaS company

• Experience working Private Equity groups in some capacity

• Entrepreneurial self starter who can work effectively with all levels of management

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience implementing accounting systems
