Position Overview:

The Recruitment and Hiring Specialist is responsible for performing all aspects of recruitment and staffing. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Recruitment and Hiring Specialist must be prepared to work independently and as part of a Team in areas of recruiting and human resources.


Description of Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various recruiting methods to interest talent for all levels of employees

  • Staying aligned and exhibit best demonstrated recruiting practices

  • Independently source applicants to build candidate pipeline and pools through social media, networking, cold calling, etc.

  • Maintain Nurture Campaigns to actively stay in contact with candidate pipeline

  • Track and report data to demonstrate marketing spend effectiveness and return on  investment

  • Routinely engage with the general public to stimulate interests in employment opportunities

  • Coordinate with Managers to determine immediate and future hiring needs

  • Develop compelling job descriptions, obtain HR Manager approval and manage open requisitions across multiple job boards and websites

  • Fill open positions in a timely manner with well-qualified candidates and close collaboration with hiring managers

  • Encourage employee involvement throughout the organization regarding recruitment activities and promotions

  • Maintain the hiring process including screening, interviewing, assessments and updating applicant tracking systems

  • Schedule subsequent interviews with Interview Panels and Hiring Managers.

  • Assist with reference checks and initial onboarding as needed

  • Create and extend conditional job offers on behalf of the organization

  • Maintain complete confidentiality and exercises extreme discretion with regards to sensitive employee information

  • Schedule onboarding once pre-employment processes are completed

  • Create Welcome Team Member Announcements notifying all levels of staff of new hires

  • May be required to attend job fairs virtually or in-person

  • Build and maintain relationships with college, businesses, and community relationships


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • ​Bilingual- Spanish, preferred; or ability to relate to people of diverse cultures

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Detail orientated, consistent and accurate outputted work, and organized individuals

  • Strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and communicate effectively; required

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Efficient in time management and the ability to take initiative with little or no direction

  • Always represent the company and brand in a positive manner

  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times; required

  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience or strategic marketing or recruitment experience

  • Minimum three years in recruiting, preferred

  • Minimum of two-year experience using Application Tracking Systems


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; preferred
