Summary:

The investment/portfolio manager will work closely with the portfolio manager in investment and relationship management activities.  Including investment committee meetings on investment evaluations, portfolio management, and presentation creation. You’ll be responsible for managing client portfolios using individual securities or a combination of securities such as ETFs or mutual funds. Important competencies to succeed in this position are honesty, dependability, strong follow-through and a “figure-it-out” work ethic.

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Team up with senior colleagues in all aspects of client relationships, including portfolio rebalancing, liquidity management, reporting, compliance reviews, client communication, and ad hoc projects.

  • Coordinate tasks and deliverables with colleagues in Wealth Advisory Services, Client Administration, and Operations.

  • Participate in business development meetings with prospective clients/existing clients and work together with senior colleagues as necessary.

  • Contribute to the firm’s investment research activities.

  • In time, assume a primary role in the management of a select group of client relationships.

Skills, Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in finance, economics, or business preferred) with three years’ experience in financial services. CFP designation (or progress towards designation) is a plus.

  • A passion for financial markets and for helping clients manage their complex financial situations.      

  • Commitment to the adoption of Liberty Capital’s investment philosophy, style, and process.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

  •  Ability to work independently.

  • Competency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and ability to learn new software and technologies (e.g. Black Diamond, Riskalyze)
