BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a boutique, technology driven title agency with a goal of streamlining the closing and escrow process by providing white glove customer service. We are currently seeking a top-level energetic and sales-oriented individual with creative marketing and lead generation skills to join this growing company. As a sales representative, you are the face of the company in the community, meeting with real estate agents, lenders, mortgage brokers, builders, attorneys, and others with a goal of the acquisition of new business and maintenance of existing customers to attain maximum sales volume. You connect with these individuals by getting to know them and their personalities and selling the company’s services by gaining their trust to build enduring relationships that go beyond business. A successful sales representative will be entrepreneurial in nature and have a passion for what they do. Success in this role requires a basic understanding of the real estate and title insurance industry, proven business contacts, and a strong desire to exceed company sales expectations and goals.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Identifying and meeting with the area’s real estate agents and lenders to pursue and cultivate relationships that enable you to sell our title and closing services.

  • Closing the loop with potential clients by responding to open questions and obtaining information that will persuade them to use our services.

  • Be recognizable by agents and lenders as the “go-to” person with the expertise and support staff to answer their questions and follow through on their requests.

  • Using social media to develop and maintain relationships with clients.

  • Helping agents become better at their jobs by creating and conducting workshops using a combination of prepared and customized materials.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven sales professional with a track record of meeting or exceeding established goals, self-starter, eager to compete for business, willing to work outside the traditional 9-5 hours, and knowing how and where to seek new business opportunities.

  • Excellent communicator, comfortable, confident and convincing, whether meeting with individuals or speaking to a group.

  • Flexible, able to change direction when needed, and ability to meet new or unexpected challenges head on and then return to the previously planned work.

  • Professional demeanor, creating a positive image for the company through your appearance, performance and relationship with colleagues and customers.

  • Creative, finding new ways to meet and engage with agents; planning after-hours events and get-togethers that are both entertaining and fortify the business relationship.

  • Highly visible in the marketing area by attending real estate industry functions and participating in community and real estate events.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Basic understanding of title insurance industry and a minimum of 2 years outside sales experience required.

  • A proven “book of business” consisting of an industry relevant network large enough to support you during the initial months of building your outside sales pipeline to unknown clients.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to support marketing efforts.

  • Well organized, excellent time management and prioritization skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
