Our Metro-Detroit based client is hiring a Commercial Property Manager to oversee their growing portfolio of 200+ leased and owned properties. Reporting to the VP of Growth and Strategy, this crucial role is part of a critical team that makes a significant impact. The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent communicator who is prompt with follow-up and committed to high quality work.
The responsibilities of the Commercial Property Manager will include managing the day-to-day operations of owned and leased properties, ensuring high standards of maintenance, safety, and tenant satisfaction. They will oversee property maintenance, utilities, regular inspections, repairs, and renovations as needed. Additionally, they will be responsible for negotiating and managing vendor contracts and service agreements to maintain the property's functionality and appearance.
The Commercial Property Manager will be involved in developing and managing annual budgets, verifying rents and CAMs for accounting purposes and coordinating broker access to vacancies for potential tenants.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, facilities management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. Proven experience in commercial property management and facilities management, particularly with multi-tenant properties, is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. Proficiency in property management software and the Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
