Our Metro-Detroit based client is hiring a Facilities and Project Specialist. Reporting to the VP of Growth and Strategy, the ideal candidate will join a critical team that makes a significant impact. This role requires effective communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
Responsibilities for this position include overseeing the work order system for incoming requests and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of properties. The Facilities and Project Specialist will also review and dispatch vendors/contractors for repairs, manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, and work with the Property Manager to ensure preventative measures are followed. Additionally, this role involves maintaining and updating standard operating policies and processes, organizing department files and information, collaborating with internal teams to address facility-related concerns, and assisting with project implementation.
Requirements for this position include a minimum of 2 years of experience, sound judgment, quick thinking during emergencies, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, as well as experience in facilities management or a related field, is often preferred. Proficiency in property management software and the Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
